You can drop off your gemstones directly at the laboratory’s service counter, following a strict and fully secure protocol. Each step is carefully monitored to ensure that your gemstone is handled with the utmost care from the moment it arrives.
We are open Monday through Thursday from 9:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. and Friday from 9:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., without a lunch break, at 30 rue de la Victoire, 75009 Paris.
More than just a formality, the analysis of your gemstones and jewelry is part of a unique experience in the heart of Place Vendôme, where scientific rigor is combined with a prestigious and discreet setting.
Before submitting your gemstones, you can prepare your oder form in advance (see the FAQ below for instructions on how to fill it out) and complete the analysis request form. You can also fill it out on-site.
Once you have completed your application, please come in person to submit it and have it approved. If this is your first submission, be sure to bring the required documents.

Before the analysis begins, your gemstones and jewelry are photographed and inspected in our studio.
Using our accredited and certified methodology, our gemologists examine and analyze your gemstones and jewelry to determine their identity (natural origin, treatment), shape, characteristics (the 4Cs for diamonds), colors, and even their geographic origin, when possible.
Your items are also tracked and anonymized to ensure impartiality.
Once the gemmological analysis is complete, we compile and prepare the results according to the type of report you have chosen. You can choose between a preliminary examen, a classic report, or an Elite Report
Come pick up your test results in person—all within a very short time frame.

If you are unable to come in person, you can send your gems by mail, with declared value
Simply follow the shipping steps (see the FAQ on stone deposits below).
The declared value may not exceed 5,000 euros and is deemed accurate for the purposes of deposit, insurance, and/or safekeeping by the Laboratory during the period the item remains on its premises.
The processing time via La Poste’s Declared Value service (transport time + analysis) is two weeks.

Before the items are returned, payment must be made by bank transfer or cheque on receipt of the pro-forma invoice by e-mail.

To create your account at the LFG, you will be asked to provide the following documents:
The deposit form is essential to collect the items. The Laboratory knows only the depositor, to whom this document has been given.
However, the name of a withdrawing third party may be communicated by the depositor, to withdrawing deposits. A power of attorney must then be issued to a third party by the depositor, who will inform the laboratory (please contact us).
In all cases, the person collecting the items must be in possession of a valid identity document. Objects are returned on payment of the costs of analysis and storage.
