From 6 to 8 June, the French Ministry of Culture is organising the ‘Rendez-vous aux jardins’ event, highlighting the diversity and wealth of over 2,200 parks and gardens in France.
Under the theme ‘Gardens of stone – stones in gardens’, the public will be invited to explore the essential role played by stone (rockwork, mosaics, gravel, etc.) in the creation of landscapes and gardens since time immemorial.
To mark the occasion, the Laboratoire Français de Gemmologie will be at the Jardin de Matignon for gemmology workshops, where visitors will be able to have another perspective on gemstones, and in particular the ‘garden’ of emeralds.
Come and join us as we pass on and celebrate the art of gardens and heritage!
